frying bacon, your voice, a sleeping "dog", someone sharpening a knife, a can a spray paint, i think i hear a lighter... anything else? :P
Author's Response:
Well lets see. There's frying bacon. There's a wood flute, and a kitchen pan drum on the left, and some other kitchen utensil 'dinging' on the right. Also, open hand drumming on firewood (how basic is that? ;> ) No spray paint that I remember. Matches lighting, and some incoherent female voice. The bacon, knife sharpening, match, and lighter were samples off a soundfx cd. The rest I recorded with a mike.
I think its hilarious someone would interpret this as horror ;). Must be from the knife shapening, eheh. I picture some alien planet around a camp fire with the natives. I think the only reason I posted this is that I still crack up when I listen to it. That dog made such weird-ass noises when he slept I just had to record it.

God, this sounds GREAT! i'm glad your getting into sharing your music out here, your going to bring a whole new skill level to newgrounds.
Author's Response:
Thanks! It felt good to finally post something, although the danged remix is probably not worthy at least someone is bound to enjoy it in all it's childish sillyness. I'm thinking about getting more into the beat making side of things. I was listening to your stuff and dj_padman. There is some KILLER stuff here to learn from... I definitely need more basic beat skills! Maybe we should colab... - UT

its almost drum and bass ambience... dj_con has a point, though, there are parts that feel... out of sync almost. i think there might just be a little too much drum, or too much of the same drum. maybe try deepening the drums and slowing the down, maybe throw in another bass drum sample on occasion. :)
other than that little tidbit, this is some beautifull ambient, good work!

i loves it! finish up the synths, throw down some drums, you've got yourself a thing of beauty!
p.s. i'd love to remix this (with your permission, of course,) do you have the synths in short .wav's or is it all one big thing?
email me ! i want to tinker!

yup. they went thump. and then they went thump some more...
i like the mecha-voice, and the bass line too, could go with a little more variations though.
excellent use of the little 'ping' noize there.
Author's Response:
Yes I plan on more variations in this song, I'm thinking of adding big mechanical sounds and ext.. I dont know where I can find them though... Thanks for the reveiw!

Way to work that bass! I love the background synths too, for some reason i always fall through when i try to get thoes to match up with the music right... but then again i have no musical talent.
Author's Response:
This was my first song where I emphasized the bass like that, so I'm glad it turned out well. As for having no musical talent, I'm sure you do, you just need to practice whatever areas you think you're weak in. Anyway, thanks for the great feedback!
